Luke chapters 1 & 2 probably give the most detail about Mary's days before the birth of Jesus. When she is greeted by the angel (Luke 1:26-38) she is "troubled" until the angel explains his message. She finds the message hard to believe, since she was a virgin, yet the angel convinced her. Once she is convinced, she praises God. The movie The Nativity Story provides some additional indications of how Mary felt; while these have no Biblical linkage, they are quite possible based on what is known of society at the time. More than likely she was rejected and scorned, since few believed her story about being with child from the Holy Spirit. That, though, is supposition.

Mary as a mother was sad naturally, but she had other children to be with.

Catholic Answer:

The mother of our saviour had only one child, Jesus. The Bible mentions brothers and sisters of Jesus. From the Greek, brothers and sisters refer to the extended family of Joseph and Mary, not his siblings.

No one can feel what a mother feels at the death of a child, particularly an only child, unless they have experienced the same. Mary was probably devastaed as she watched her son die such a horrible death. I would imagine that the prophetic words of Simeon came back to her:

"This child is destined for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be opposed so that the inner thoughts of many may be revealed - and a sword will pierce your own heart, too." (Luke 2:34-35)

Mary must have been so sad but maybe she was proud. She gave birth to the Messiah and now he was dying to save us all from sin. But she was probably very sad, how would you like it if your son was crucified to a cross even though he was innocent?

Why did Jesus say to his mother woman what have I to do with thee?

When Mary told Jesus, "They have no wine," she was evidently not simply informing Jesus of that fact but suggesting that he do something about it. Jesus used that common idiom to turn down Mary's subtle suggestion, and his added words, "My hour has not yet come," help us to see the reason for his doing so. From the time of his baptism and anointing in 29 C.E., Jesus was keenly aware that it was Jehovah's will for him, as the promised Messiah, to follow a course of integrity that would culminate in his death, resurrection, and glorification. In conveying this to his mother, Jesus was firm but in no way disrespectful or unkind. Mary, in turn, did not feel embarrassed or insulted by her son. In fact, sensing Jesus' meaning, Mary told those ministering at the wedding: "Whatever he tells you, do." Rather than ignoring his mother, Jesus performed his first miracle as the Messiah-turning water into quality wine-thus demonstrating a fine balance in doing his Father's will and acknowledging his mother's concern.

Did the Blessed Mother feel pain at childbirth?

I can't think of a reason why she would not feel any pain delievering. Christ is the Son of God and He felt all our pains. Why not Mary the mother of Christ?Catholic answer:The Catholic Church teaches that Mary, because of her unique position as the Mother of Jesus and the way in which she conceived, did not undergo the pain of childbirth. When the movie 'The Nativity' came out several years ago some Catholic Theologians criticized it for showing Mary in the pains of child delivery and for also showing Mary seeking advice from a palm reader which was considered an offense punishable by death in Judaism. Both these parts of the movie were labeled as heresy.

What book of Bible show the death of Jesus?

Technically, Jesus never died. It says in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John that Jesus was crucified, but three days later, he arose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of his Father, The Lord God. *************** Christs body died but His spirit remained on earth. Remember when Mary tried to touch him by his burial place, he said "Touch me not for I have not yet assended unto my father in heaven". He was in the spirit and Mary would not have felt him anyway. No doubt he wished to spare her any shock of not being able to feel him.
