3.William invented the Fuedal system, The King was at the top of the Feudal system then the Nobles, then the Knights and finally the Peasants at the bottom. Each and everyone of them relied on each other to make the country work. The king gave the Nobles most of the land so they could control most of the regions in England and each Noble controled a county, the King wanted the Nobles to do a good job so he gave them most of his land. The Nobles gave the knights some of their land so the Knights could protect them and the Knights gave the peasents a portion of their land so they could grow crops to feed them and then that way the peasants would get protection from the Knights. Everyone needed everyone to make the country work well and that's why William was one of the best rulers of England
