William Herschel began life as a musician, like his father and brothers. When he was 15, he run away from Hanover, Germany to England to avoid serving in the Seven Years War. He made a living as a music teacher, and than he began studying the importance of math in music. From math, Herschel's desire moved to astronomy, and he gained lasting fame as the first person to discover a new planet in the solar system, Uranus in March 13, 1781. He later discovered and named Titania and Oberon satellites of Uranus As well as, He was the first person to correctly describe the form of our galaxy and the milky way and became one of the most famous astronomers at his time.
