According to Greek Mythology Zeus's parents nver died because they where acient gods call Titans.
Zeus father, Cronus (Leader of all Titans) was locked by his own son Zeus in the Tantaurs (Greek equivelant to Christan Hell) during the Titan War. This War was caused because Cronus was warned by the Seers that one of his sons will take his throne. So Cronus ate his children Poseidon and Hades, but when he was going to eat Zeus, Rhea gave him a stone to eat leting Zeus in the outside world. When Zeus was mature enough he build an army on god by uniting his sons and duaghters he had with his wife Hera. Zeus liberated his siblings and defeted the Titans.
Zeus' mother, Rhea (Titaness of the Earth) wasn't subsided like her spouse because the female Titans (Titanesses) didn't participate in the Titan War son none of them where punished by Zeus. Rhea stayed living on Earth, acording to some stories she was a big contribuator on crating the Nymphs (Demi goddesses of plants).
