The Hulk got his powers from exposure to gamma radiation during a scientific experiment gone wrong. This radiation caused a transformation in Bruce Banner, turning him into the Hulk whenever he experiences intense anger or stress.

The cave led them both to the lost temple of Cytorrak, where Cain picked up the ruby of Cytorrak. This transformed him into the Juggernaut. The story is told in the XMen (original series) #12.

∙ 12y agoBruce Banner created a gamma bomb which he was testing. he pressed the button which activated the gamma bomb , but a daft teenager came in the area where the bomb was and Bruce Banner risked his life. and pushed the teenager out of the way while trying to save the teenager he got caught in the gamma bomb explosion and transformed into the incredible robust hulk but saved the teenager.
