Troodon dinosaurs existed as a number of different troodontid species. Many paleontologists think that troodon dinosaurs were omnivorous... and primarily carnivorous (i.e., mostly eating meat). Teeth, from these dinosaurs, were small and numerous (i.e., small for theropod dinosaurs, which is the type that these dinosaurs were). These dinosaurs were relatively small and feathered; they are close ancestors to the bird lineage. Some troodontid species fossils indicate that they had very large brain cases, revealing that they were evolving into more complex and sophisticated levels of intelligence. Troodontids probably often ate small game; but fossil sites also indicate that they attacked large game (other larger dinosaurs) as well. Like their close dromaeosaur cousins, they likely hunted in structured groups. Troodontids also lived, during the Cretaceous period, in Alaska; these troodons from Alaska grew to large sizes, probably due to the lack of tyrannosaur competition (due to tyrannosaurs not being able to live in high numbers that far north).

1. Stegosaurus were not capable of traveling very quickly because their forelimbs were shorter than their hind limbs.

2. The fact that Stegosaurus had a head very low to the ground means that they probably ate low growing vegetation, such as ferns.

3. The thagomizers, or tail spikes, that Stegosaurus possessed could have been used to defend themselves from predators like Allosaurus.

4. Their plates may have been used to keep them cool.
