One way blind people can read is by using braille, which is a code, a code described by many people as bumps on paper. A secondary way blind people read is auditorially. They can listen to books on different devices.

∙ 14y agoA type of writing called Braille. A bunch of bumps that form words and letters. A blind person will touch the bumps and can feel what the letter, word or sentence is. Braille is most commonly found in door plates that name a room such as the bathroom. There are also Braille books.

Some loss - use of a Magnifying glass or in some cases a small camera that is connected to magnifying software.
where the above will not be appropriate - A book that is in electronic format can use such software as HAL , Dolphine which reads the text and outputs it through computer speakers. The above can also have pages scanned in and will read back for the person through the same software thus being able to use standard books.
Where no software is used a Braille book can be used as long as the reader is braille capable.
Audio books - Read by someone on behalf of the blind person and played in cd, mp3 format through an audio system.
