Cavities have exposed dentine which is the underlying layer of tooth structure (underneath enamel). The dentine is formed in cylindrical tubes that extend to the pulp. Sensitivity arises from changes in osmotic pressure of the dentinal fluids due to cold and sugar. This causes a stimulation and results in nerves sending out signals. This is the most accepted theory although there are others.
Well I have a small one and it didn't
Cavities typically begin to hurt as the decay gets close to the nerve of the tooth. Once that happens it is time to either get a root canal and crown or have the tooth removed.
Maybe you have cavities.
They all do. If it's not the sugar causing cavities it's the bubbles causing the enamel to get thinner.
Cavities are not dangerous. If you brush your teeth and floss on a regular basis you wont get them. its your fault if you get them eat healthy foods. So no they are not they may hurt but get them treated right away. or else it may come to the point where you may need to get them pulled out.
