It sounds to me that what you have is a shotgun that was made by the crescent firearms company, they made many shotguns under hundreds of store names for hardware, and general supply stores from 1880-1930.
Highland Falls Railroad Depot was created in 1882.
100-2000 USD
You still haven't told me what type of shotgun it is, but Newport was a Brand Name used by Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co, Chicago (1882-1962). If it is a double barrel sidelock with outside hammers, it was probably made by Crescent Arms Co, Norwich, CT. A double barrel hammerless boxlock more likely by J Stevens Arms Co, Chicopee Falls, MA. or a single shot exposed hammer by Iver Johnson, Fitchburg, MA. Regardless of the manufacturer, it is worth $75 or less for a single shot or $100-$150 for a double barrel.
New heard of a "New Model" 1882 and that is not a serial no for a 1882.It does fit the serial range of a model 1889 made in the last days of 1902.
Please list all the markings on the shotgun. Harrington & Richardson were producing hammerLESS double shotguns as far back as 1882. sales@countrygunsmith.net
From 1882 to 1889 they manufactured the first successful slide action repeating shotgun. Designed by Christopher Spencer who also designed the Civil War era Spencer military carbines. The shotgun came in both solid and takedown models in both 12 and 10 gauge. The takedown is worth 20% premium. VG Good Fair Poor $950 400 200 125
The Tallulah Falls Gorge was formed many years ago through natural erosion. In 1882, a railway was built in the area to allow tourists to visit.
1882 - 1809 = 73
The answer is 564.6 To calculate this: 30 divided by 100 and then multiply your answer by 1882. (30/100*1882)
