A fish has gills which allows it to breath underwater. It also has fins to move very quickly and some fish are even camouflage to disguise them under the water. This is how a fish adapts to their environment.
They live in water:
1. They have gills to process Oxygen from water.
2. They have fins to propel through water.
3. Their cells are balanced to not absorb water like our would.
4. They have a 'swim bladder' to adjust their buoyancy.
5. Their eyes are designed to focus underwater.
6. Their diet consists of underwater foods.
7. They are cold blooded.
Seahorses adapt to their environment by being able to camouflage themselves. They also have tails that can latch on to things, and scales for protection.
Horseshoe crabs adapt to their environment in many ways. They have hard shells to protect themselves and can bury themselves in the sand with their claws.
Horseshoe crabs are born (hatch) in the ocean.

Humans are destroying the horseshoe crabs habitat. We cut things down (trees for example) for our own selfish needs (no offense). After that we build things witch kills animals including the horseshoe crabs.
The "horseshoe crabs" get their nickname because their arc shaped exoskeleton. The nickname is not a proper name and therefore does not require capitalization.
