First, pick off the hardened bits. Then place a paper towel over the stain and iron it to heat the rest of the wax and soak it up.

If all of the wax has been removed but a greasy looking stain stays behind, put a little bit of rubbing alcohol on the spot. Rub it gently with a clean cloth and wash the jeans right away. If the spot still remains, try the alcohol again, it will lift the stain.

Depilatory wax is tough to remove, but steam heat seems to be best solution. Use a steam iron with an old cotton dish cloth over and under the garment and use the highest heat possible for the fabric with full steam. Keep moving the dish cloth to areas that have not soaked up the wax. After removing as much wax as possible with steam, then try applying a professional instant carpet stain remover such as "Spot Shot". Spray it, then wipe off.
