People think that you HAVE to be an engineer, but you don't. Here is how I beat him. I was a heavy, and went in. Then, when we started the battle, I took out my lightsaber, and started to attack by holding down B. When he took out his gun, I took out the chaingun, and started firing. When he took out his lightsaber, I did not. I laid down detpacks and set them off when he came near, until I ran out. Then I took the rocket launcher and started firing until I ran out. Then I took out my lightsaber and started to throw it. That's how you win. P.S.- To dodge the rock , press X while running. Lightning attack in the same, about in the middle of it. Good luck!

Get the heavy type guns then, shoot him with the rocket launcher. once you're out of rockets, use the land mnes(by pressing y). when you've used up your land mines, you should either hit him with the lightsaber, or thow the lightsaber at him, so you don't get hit by his lightsaber. once you've killed him, he falls into the lava. *hope this helps* oh, also, look below my answer, theres one that might help too.

To get the chain gun and the bowcaster, you have to beat the entire campaign on Jedi Master. THIS IS EXTREMELY HARD!!! It took me over 20 hours just to beat the Jedi Master campaign. Here's some advice:Once you get the Jedi class unlocked for X2, don't be afraid to switch back to a trooper, especially to heal yourself. This is extremely useful on Bespin when you enter the courtyard and you have to fight five Imperial Stormtroopers. It's also helpful to switch to a pilot when you have to dogfight X1 in his TIE Advanced.This is the ONLY way to defeat X1 on Mustafar on the platform battle. The ONLY way to defeat him is to throw your lightsaber at him while either strafing to the left or the right. If you attack him head-on, you'll probably die within 5-10 seconds. Don't try force pushing him over the edge unless you like retrying things hundreds of times and you have a REALLY, CONTROLLED TEMPER.Honestly, this is the only way I defeated X1 and beat the game and got the chaingun and bowcaster.P.S.
