Speed Sensor is not working

depends on if it is the input sensor (mounted in the transmission) or the output (on the passenger side transaxle)
The speed sensor for a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier is located on the side of the transmission. It has two wires coming out of it.
The 2005 Chevy Cavalier vehicle speed sensor is located on the back of the transmission. The vehicle speed sensor will be in the upper right-hand corner of the transmission back.

The speed sensor(s) are located behind the brake discs on the front end
First you put the car on ramps and locate the sensor on the transmission(near passenger side of car), you unplug the wire and remover the single bolt holding the sensor to the transmission then you plug the new sensor in and bolt it back on and last, plug the wire back in and your done. Now take the car off ramps and take it for a ride.
The speed sensor on a 1996 Pathfinder 3.3 automatic transmission is in the engine compartment. It is on the transfer case.
