First try to go into your owners manual, go under "fix it yourself", Chapter 6 I believe. Once you get there, there are instructions to help you do this. If you dont have the owners manual follow the below listed steps.
1. First, (unless you have a subwoofer, in that situation remove this first) remove all the carpeting in the trunk. This is done by simply lifting the pieces up. Then remove the carpet cover of the taillight you wish to replace. You will know that its the carpet cover because it has three panel "screws" that can be removed fairily easily.
2. Once this has been removed, there are three 8mm nuts (gold color) on screw studs that need to be removed. In addition, locate one stud post covered by a small black rubber boot.
3. Once these are unscrewed simply tap/push the screw studs, including the one in the rubber boot, from the inside and your light assembly will pop off the back.
4. Once the taillight is out find the bulb you want to replace, twist it counterclockwise and then remove the bulb. Then simply take out the defective bulb and replace it with a working one!

Remove the 3 nuts from behind the light housing in the trunk. Gently work housing free. You only need to change the bulbs that are dead.

To change a bulb, pull the plug for desired bulb. If you want to remove the entire assembly there are 3 10mm nuts (deep well needed) and a some kind of a stabilizer catch. After nuts are off just pull it will come out. I've had two sets of aftermarket tail lights in mine. If you're thinking new tail lights, they don't make a better looking light than stock. That's just my opinion.
