Is M and the ohm symbol together OK for Mega ohm?

Yes, the symbol for megaohm (or megohm) is MΩ.

When 10 ohm resistor and 100 mega ohm resistor are connected in series then what will be the combined resistance?

100 megohm the 10 ohms completely vanishes in the tolerance of the 100 megohm resistor, in that range tolerances can exceed 20% of nominal.

What is a mega ohm meter?

I think you mean megohm-meter or "megger" which is a high voltage, low current electrical insulation tester.

How many mega ohms in an ohm?

A megohm is 1000 kilohms. So 295k is 0.295M

How much current 2.2 Megohm?

"Ohm" and its multiples is not a unit of current."Ampere" and its multiples is.The current through a 2.2-megohm resistance is(the voltage across the resistance)/(2,200,000) amperes .

Why is it better to use the kilo ohm rather than an ohm rage of resistors?

For smaller values (eg below 1000), simply use ohm, for biggers (above 1000000) use megohm, between them use kilo-ohm.

How many ohm is a mega ohm?

1 megohm is 0.1 gigaohm. 1 gigaohm is 1000 megaohm. 1 megohm = 1,000,000 ohms = 106 ohms. 1 gigaohm = 1,000,000,000 ohms =109 ohms.

Is ohms bigger unit to megohms?

An ohm is a unit of electrical resistance. A kilohm is 1,000 ohms resistance, while a megohm is 1,000,000 ohms resistance.

A measure of resistance to electricity?

The measurement of resistence to electricity is called Ohms. It was named after Georg Simon Ohm, a German physicist

What is the function of INF key in million megohm meter?

INF stands for infinite. This is used for measuring resistance beyond the mega ohm barrier. IE. A piece of metal. When active it pretty much just shows a dead short or represents conductivity.
