Artwork will need to have a minimum file resolution of 85 to 150 dpi at full image size, depending on viewing distance of your banner.
A lower resolution of 85ppi for banners that will be viewed at a distance (greater than 3 metres away) and a maximum of 150ppi for banners that will be viewed up close (less than 3metres).
If you do not have a large format printer, I suggest you look for a wide format print service provider.
All you will need to do is specify to the print service provider how long you want the banner to last, what type of environmental conditions will it be placed it (eg. rain, full sun, snow) and budget.
