Well rather than go over this same question again, I will simply copy the information that I have previously provided for this.
In the instance of a taper, I advise you strongly against using them. Tapers don't work simply due to the fact that people try to hop gauges with them, which induces far too much trauma to the skin of the lobe and highly raises the risk of tearing the fistula. For stretching, the best method to use is tape wraps, in which you will use what's known as bondage tape, Teflon tape, or in some instances electrical tape, though most people advise against using the latter of the three due to the adhesive that is used on them.
For this method, you will apply a few layers of tape to the plug that you are wearing about once every week. You don't want to go too fast because it will thin the bottom of the lobe, which will hinder your ability to stretch large if that be your intention. Go slow and pay attention to your ears.
Use a taper or have a shop taper it out.
Generally, a regular ear lobe piercing is an 18 or 20 gauge, so the first size taper you should get would be a 16 gauge. Ask your parents before stretching your ears.
The purpose of measuring taper angle is to obtain taper angle
Tapers are used to stretch the ears, so if you have tapers close to the gauge that your ears are currently, grit your teeth and push it through until it gets to the widest end and put the rubber rings on the taper to keep it in place. If the gauge of the taper is NOT near what your ears are currently, I wouldn't suggest pushing it through. If you do, it could cause your skin to rip and bleed, or your ear to split entirely, resulting in a blowout.
To measure bore taper
No, do not go straight to a plug. It will rip your ears lobe and they might get infected. If you already did I would recumbent letting it all grow back (if your a 0 or smaller) and reperice your ears and wait a year or two before you gauge your ears again.
A taper is when people put in those really big holes in their ears, they're like hoops for the inside of the ears.'Taper' has several meanings. It can mean a gradual decrease in width of an object, for example, or to diminish. It can also refer to a slender object used to light candles.
First off, you don't "gauge" your ears. You stretch them. If you say gauge around people who are serious about body mods (piercers esp) you'll sound like an idiot. Secondly, it's really inexpensive. Body Art Forms sells two taper kits. One has an acrylic taper($5) and the other had a steel taper($7). Besides the kit, all that you need is some type of lube and natural sea salt to soak your stretch. You can use extra virgin olive oil for the lube and a tub of natural sea salt is like $4 at walmart. I'll put the link for BAF for you. They also have a section about stretching so read up on that.
Seat the bolts using the 4 lb. hammer and taper bolt gauge
uhm tis is kinda weird...but in your ears lol but you can gauge lotsa things other than just your ears n btw gauging your ears hurts...
You should use a taper. You can probably find these at a piercing studio. It is important to first stretch it to a 16 gauge, and then to a 14 gauge about a month later to prevent tearing.
