I use oxyclean.I make a paste with it and brush it on the stained areas.I soak the linens for two hours, adding extra oxyclean in the machine.Use the hottest water for the fabric, let the machine agitate for a couple of minutes to work the oxy through the fabric. After that, let the machine finish the cycle, then use regular detergent, and run the cycle again.

  1. Remove as much of the stain as you can by scraping it up.
  2. Soak the fabric in cold water, using a pretreatment soak if you have one. Do not use hot water.
  3. After it has soaked for about 20 minutes, look for the stain. If you can see it rub it with liquid detergent and wash it in cold water. If you cannot see it anymore, wash it as normal.

There are stain resistant table linens you could purchase. Also, there are different detergents you can use that help protect material from stains, and even more detergents and stain removing agents that you can use to get out any stains that occur. If they are white, you could use bleach too. Not only does it get out stains, it keeps whites truly white, and disinfects as well.
