How do you get a leaf stone in Pokemon Ruby?

Once you get out of Ilex Forest and are in Route 34, leading to Goldenrod City, go up to the female trainer surrounded by grass. Her name is Gina and she has two lvl. 9 Hoppips and a lvl. 12 Bulbasaur. Defeat her and get her phone number. Continue on your journey. Every now and then she will call you - most times chatting about something insignificant or wanting to battle you - but when she says that she found something nice that she'd like to give you, fly or run back to Route 34 as fast as you can. Talk to her and she will give you a Leaf Stone.

This isn't a one-time thing, either. Every time she calls you saying she has something, she'll keep on giving you leaf stones. But don't expect it to be immediate or frequent - when I play and get her number and continue on the story, I usually don't get a call until I'm around the sixth or seventh badge.

go down from mossdeep until you reach the diving area. Look for green shards and when you find one give it to the treasure hunter(he's left of mossdeep) and he will trade a leafstone for the shard that you've found.

South of Fortree City. Go to the river and surf down until you find it turns gloom into vileplume, nuzleaf into somthing, etc.
