Hi, ants can be a real big problem sometimes, but a very easy n simple solution I have for them, I try it personally and get excellent results. Dont kill them just put some wheat flour anywhere you want to keep ants away from, or ants are there and you want to get rid of them. It could be tree, kitchen, anywhere.
About 250 years ago, people actually filled there whole yard with pure white sand to keep most insects away, and it was very affective. Luckily, you don't need to buy several tons of sand to remedy this problem any more. You have two options: The most expensive way is to call a professional and have him or her spray your yard, but you can also purchase bug killer that kills ants. It's important to first identify what kind of ants you have before buying any ant poisons. Carpenter ants like wood but sugar ants like sweet stuff. You can make your own ant poison at home by mixing white sugar, borax (a laundry soap), and water together. Pour it where you see the ants crawling. When they eat the borax, it expands inside their body and they explode. It's no where near as cool looking as you might think.
Identification and removal of the causes are ways to eliminate ants around a tree. The arthropods in question (Formicidaefamily) frequent locations because of the availability of food and shelter and the protection from predators and stress. The tree needs to be checked for edibles and refuges since such foods as aphid honeydew and maple sap are definite attractions.
you can crush them or use repellents, such as 'Raid.'
Put ant raid in with chocolate syrup.
Every ants lives in trees cause ants gets food and carry them up to the tree or somewhere else maybe.
the leaf eaters are afraid of the ants, so the leaf eaters can only eat when the ants are off the leaves. This is how ants protect the trees from the leaf eaters.
If the ants were removed from the acacia tree the trees would be stripped of their leaves by elephants. The ants serve as a defense mechanism for the trees.
yes they do
En los arboles se encuentran las hormigas (Lit: On/in trees can be found ants)
It can be. For example, when ants protect scale insects on a tree because they feed on honeydew from the scales, then they are really using material from the tree that they get from the scale that parasitises the tree directly. However, while they protect the tree from other animals, they also prevent the enemies of the scale from clearing the scale from the tree, even if they keep other animals from attacking the tree directly. Sometimes such scale can kill the tree if one doesn't get rid of the ants. However, in some trees, such as the trees called whistling thorns, ants do the tree little harm and the tree actually grows parts that the ant can eat. Such ants attack giraffes and antelopes that otherwise feed on the tree. That is not so much parasitism as what we call mutualism. This means that both both the ants and the plant win from the deal.
trees
Ants! haha
Army ants are the name given to several species of aggressive ants. The worker ants produce pheromones to keep army ants marching.
An ants favorite snack is probably honeydew, it can be found on most trees.
Some kinds can. The pygmy (silky) anteater, and the tamanduas live largely in trees, and some of the pangolins (scaly anteaters) climb well and feed on ants and other insects in trees.
