When two people date on IMVU they either class their relationship as BF and GF or Husband and Wife. there is no marriage steps it is just when both sides commiting to each other.

You can have a marriage ceremony complete with wedding dress, minister, guests etc.
Also, IMVU has recently released a new "Marriage" pack, where if you buy it you get a joint room that each of you can decorate, a badge for your badge display area, and also it now comes with a "Link" on each of your display cards that Says Married too, and their username. And if it is clicked on will take you to the other persons home page :)
