The BLARNEY stone is in Blarney castle in the town of Blarney about 7 miles from the city of Cork in the Irish Republic
The legend goes that the Blarney Stone is really half of the Stone of Scone, on which the first king of Scotland was coronated in 847. Bruce gave the stone to Cormac McCarthy in 1314 to honor the Irish for their help at the Battle of Bannockburn. Somehow the stone found its way back in Scotland and was later taken to Blarney Castle.
The Blarney Stone does not have any instrument shown on it. It is a simple limestone block that is part of Blarney Castle in Cork, Ireland. However, according to legend, it will impart eloquence upon any who kiss it.
The Blarney Stone is a stone set in the wall of the Blarney Castle tower in the Irish village of Blarney. Kissing the Blarney Stone is supposed to bring the kisser the gift of persuasive eloquence (blarney).

The Blarney Stone (Irish: Cloch na Blarnan) is a block of bluestone built into the battlements of Blarney Castle, Blarney, about 8 kilometres (5 mi) from Cork, Ireland. According to legend, kissing the stone endows the kisser with the gift of the gab (great eloquence or skill at flattery). The stone was set into a tower of the castle in 1446. The castle is a popular tourist site in Ireland, attracting visitors from all over the world to kiss the stone and tour the castle and its gardens
The Blarney Stone
The legend of the Blarney Stone is that in Castle Blarney, Blarney, in County Cork is that shoudl an individual kiss the stone they will be endowed with the gift of gab (great eloquence of skill at flattery). As far as the origin of the legend, one of the earliest stories involves the Castle's Builder Cormac MacCarthy in a lawsuit. The legend goes that he was worried about the result so he prayed to Clíodhna (Queen of the Banshees) for assistance. She told him to kiss the first stone he saw on the way to court in the morning. He did so and was able to plead his case with great eloquence. The legend goes on to say that he then incorporated that stone into his Castle.
