Here is what you need too make a good-sized rabbit hutch (this is how I would make it, you don't have to necessarily make it like this):
Supplies needed for a rabbit hutch:
Wood:
- thin peace of wood for the lid 100cm wide 60cm long
- strong sturdy peace of wood for floor of the cage 100cm wide 60cm long
- 4 peaces of wood 40cm tall however thick
- 8 peaces of wood 100cm wide quite flat
- 4 peaces of wood cut diagonal and cut to fit
- 4 good strong peaces of wood for the legs quit round at least 30cm tall
- 60cm wide 40cm tall
- Wooden ramp for going into sleeping area
- 1 peace of wood about 20cm wide 35 long for the roof of sleeping area
- 2 other peaces of wood for the walls of sleeping area facing back wall both at least 30 to 40cm wide and 40cm tall one with a circular hole in the middle large enough for a good sized dwarf rabbit to easily fit through
- 1 large peace of wood for back wall 100cm wide 60cm long
Other materials needed:
- 3 squares of wire mesh one piece 100cm wide and 40cm tall
- Several hinges
- Some nails some tall and some short
- Gun stapler if needed
- Screws?
Simplified method for building rabbit hutch:
- Build the structure with all the correct peaces of wood using the design of rabbit
hutch using nails/screws needed
- place each square of wire mesh into the correct places using the gun stapler to
staple the wire mesh into place
- Hammer the back wall with the nails/screws
- And using the hinges screw the roof of the hunch on
- Also nail the legs properly using the proper wood too stabilize the legs?
- Just follow the design and do what ever to complete
The bigger the happier your rabbit will be.
I want to use wire mesh for the new rabbit hutch that I am building.

A "rabbit hutch" or simply "a hutch" is a home for rabbits. Examples: We built a rabbit hutch from old lumber and mesh wire. The rabbits settled into their hutch. The door of the hutch came unlatched and the rabbits escaped.
Most likely a rabbit. :)

A hutch.
That is the correct spelling of the noun "hutch" (a cabinet or rabbit cage).
Oryctolagus cuniculus (rabbit, hutch-rabbit).
A rabbit lives in a hutch.
It is best to go to a pet shop and get a rabbit/animal friendly disinfectant, but you could also use javex, or most other disinfectants but you have to wait until the hutch is COMPLETELY dry until you put the rabbit back in. You can also clean a rabbit hutch with white vinegar. You can sprinkle a bit of baking soda in the places where is still has an unpleasant odor.
