How can I make simple finger puppets?

There are many kinds of puppets, but here's the kind I make in 10 easy steps. You will need:

• Foam
• Felt
• Patterned Cloth
• Googly Eyes
• Yarn
• a Hot Glue Gun
• Scissors
• Spray Paint
• 1 Paper Plate

1. Cut out a large rectangle from the cloth - it can be any color or any pattern.

2. Hot glue the ends of the rectangle together to make a cylinder shape.

3. Cut out 2 arm & hand shapes, two long rectangles, 2 small circles, 1 large circle, and a half circle half the size of the large circle from the foam.

4. Now you cut 4 slits in the front of the cloth, 2 towards the top, 2 towards the bottom, and heat up the hot glue gun! you insert each arm into a slit slightly deep, and glue the remaining cloth to them.

5. After the arms are glued, take each small circle and glue it to the bottom of a long rectangle.

6. Then, glue the finished legs into the bottom slots.

7. Finally, to construct the head, fold the paper plate in half.

8. Glue half the rim to the front rim of the large circle, and the other half to the front rim of the half circle.

9. Glue the back rim of the half circle to the front of the cloth, and the back rim of the large circle to the back of the cloth.

10. Then, use foam, felt, and yarn to decorate your puppet.

1. Head making - for the head you need newspaper and roll it to make a ball . Then put a coloured material on the newspaper and roll the end of the material and put masking tape on it . Then decorate the face with : googly eyes , cut out a mouth , hair- you can use wool , nose- you can draw .2. Clothes - starting to make clothes for the puppet, first get a material what you want and draw : a skirt , t- shirt , torses then cut out two pieces of the material and sew them together then leave hole for the head and for the arms and for the tummy , if you have some newspaper put it in the hole to make a shape .3. Arms and legs - for arms you can fold the newspaper and put it in the hole where the newspaper is. For the legs you can stick a material again like with the clothes . With paper you can make. take bottle cover it with newspaper then add hands paint it and tie strings. you can put some old clothes to give a nice look. add some thread of black colour for hair.

Simple finger puppets can be made just by getting a cheap plain pair of gloves and cutting off the fingers. Then if they are stitched at the bottom to prevent fraying a face can be drawn and the puppet is made.
