I just did my wife's 2003 Caravan and it was easy. Go to your local auto parts store and purchase EZ Chill Quick Charge kit. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! It comes with a easy to read gauge with hose assembly. I suggest you purchase the kit with the brass connector not the blue plastic connector. I tried the plastic and it leaked. The brass connector works great and worth the little extra in cost. Easy to read instructions are on the package. You have two hose connections on your van, one on the side of the engine bay back toward the firewall (High Side) and the other (Low Side) which is located next to the radiator by the electric fan. Connect the hose to the Low Side connection next to the fan with the engine running according to the instructions, be careful not to put your fingers into the electric fan. With the AC on high and knowing what the outside air temperature is use the chart provided and read down the chart until you find the current outside air temp and the chart will tell you how much PSI your gauge should be reading. If your reading is low screw on a can of R-134 refrigerant and squeeze the trigger on the valve and shake the can to get the freon to flow into your system. Check the pressure on the gauge to make sure you do not over charge the system. If your gauge reads higher than the recommended pressure then seek out a professional to correct the situation. The whole procedure took me 15 minutes and afterwards my Caravan was cooling down to 40 degrees.
