In the early 1996-1998~ Sebring Convertibles with the speakers above the passenger armrest the grills are simply removed with a thin screwdriver or butter knife. the Phillips head screws are revealed once the grille is removed. The wire from the head unit clips directly into the speaker, you either pry up or push on the tab that is holding it and pull back. You may want to either clip the connector off if you are not using OEM style speakers, or you may want to purchase an adapter for your new speakers. Replacement is the reverse of removal.
You may need to make the clips on the grille back into a point. One has a small hook that holds the opposite tab to make a point. If you cant get the grille back on the tabs have probably come apart and this simple procedure should allow you to reinstall the speaker grille.
