take the steering wheel off, remove the safety plate and there's a small screw that is about the one 'o clock position on the column. take that out. also, get a manual...ah-ha!
Pull your steering colum apart along with steering wheel and dash plastic, ignition swith is next to the key tumbler. Swap the parts.
if it is the ignition lock cylinder, first disconnect the battery, you need to remove the steering wheel ,turn signal switch , etc, then you need to insert the ignition key into the lock cylinder, turn it to the run position,then pull the cylinder out, reverse the operation to install the cylinder,
I have been researching for a fix to get my dash lights working again and have come across your problem and the fix seems to be that you have to change the ignition switch which is a wire harness under the steering colum attached bellow the key cylinder. There is a broken wire below your shifter in the console. This controls a solenoid that releases the key. The shifter in the center consle has a part that controls a current to solenoid in your steering column. A quick fix is a nail or piece of wire to release the key. This is in the steering column. There is a pop out that must pushed in to release the key. A longer term fix to replace the part in the shifter.

The clockspring is replaced by removing the airbag, and by removing the steering wheel. From there disconnect the old clock spring, and put in the new clock spring, and replace everything in reverse order.
