CPU's are usually directly attached to the motherboard or they are in a slot that is under a fan. If the CPU is broken, it is very hard to fix because they are small and are not made to be user serviceable. The best thing to do if your CPU goes out is to just go to the store and get a new one that is the same. CPU's are generally expensive so make sure that it wouldn't be cheaper to just go out and get a new computer. It also may be a good idea to just bring your computer to a repair shop and have them replace the CPU so you don't mess something else up too.

∙ 12y agoEnter your BIOS by pressing the appropriate key as soon as you start up your computer. It varies per brand, but generally it would say "Setup" or "BIOS" followed by a key such as "F10" or "DEL."
Navigate through the menu and usually towards the exit menu there should be a "Restore default settings" option to reset everything.
If you specifically only want to reset the CPU, then navigate to the CPU section of the BIOS menu and set each CPU setting to "AUTO."

You cannot fix your CPU not supporting SSE4.1, short of buying a new CPU. PCSX2 does not require SSE4.1 to run, though.
