How do you save money if your to young to get a job and don't have money to save?

If you are too young to work, are you receiving an allowance or pocket money from your parents or other members of your family? If you are then its worth considering carefully what you spend it on each week or month. Could you reduce your spending on some items? If you did, how much would you save over a year by doing so? This gives you a savings pot which will grow each month and once you get into the habit of reviewing your spending regularly, you may find other ways to add to the pot. Could you do odd jobs for family, friends or neighbours like walking their dog, mowing their lawn or tidying up the garage that the owner never has time to do? Save most of the money you earn but allow yourself a small percentage as your reward for putting in the effort. Such self discipline will stick with you for life and make you a much better candidate for that ideal job when you are old enough to go for it.
If you don't get an allowance, skip straight to the odd jobs and you will get there in the end.
