All you really have to do is press close, (you know, the X button?) although it may take a minute to close completely. Like starting it up, you have to give it some time. If you try to mess with it, the computer will come up saying "program not responding" and that you'll have to close it [the program]. (Seeing as you're trying to close the program anyway, this shouldn't be to much of a problem.)
Or, alternatively, you could press CTRL, ALT, and DEL (at the same time) to open task manager; click on "TS2Bodyshop.exe" off the Processes list or "The Sims 2 Body Shop" off the Applications list to close the program.
On the one hand, just pressing close at the top right-hand part of the screen is simpler and maybe just a little bit faster, but you still have to wait for it to close completely. If it comes up saying program not responding that doesn't mean it's not still trying to close, so if you have the option to wait for the program to respond, take it.
On the other hand, opening task manager will ensure that the program closes completely and will not be running in the background, but it's a little more complicated. DO NOT close anything else on task manager. (Unless, of course, you need to.) Although personally I would not know what the effects would be on your computer, I would not want to risk breaking it.
So basicly, to answer your question, either
A: Press close and wait
or
B: Open task manager and shut down the program
There may or may not be other ways to do it, but those two are probably the simplest.
OH! And don't forget to save :)
You get off your butt, shut up and get some crap done...
It depends on what the button does , In my cases it was an emergency switch to shut off the electricity to the shop equipment or a emergency shut off switch to shut off the natural gas to the outlets used for the bunson burners in the lab

Bring vehicle to a shop that has an ABS scanner to determine the problem
Try downloading her off Sims2.com
If you make a custom skin for your sim in body shop then you can do that. it is really complicated to figure it out if you don't know what you're doing. Try downloading sims off of these two sites. You have to have a membership for both sites, but they are both free. Half of TSR's stuff is members only though, so i recommend the sims2 website if you still have the registration code for your game (you need it to sign up) http://thesimsresource.com http://sims2.com
