There are a range of available treatment to treat SI joint pain such as Radiofrequency neurotomy, Lumbar discography and also certain foods.

There are 4 exercises, a combination of which, can greatly improve sacroiliac joint movement and relieve or eliminate pain if done regularly.

1. Kneeling on floor, raise right leg and left arm. Repeat other side. (A Pilates exercise.)

2. Lying prone on floor push torso upwards with hands, taking weight on toes and pelvis BUT thighs must be clear of floor contact.

3. Lying on back with one foot against a wall so that the knee forms a right-angle, place the ankle (of the painful side) on that knee and apply hand pressure to the other knee for 3 minutes. Repeat other side for 20 seconds. Do straight legged little kicks while on back to limber between and after this exercise. (Tedious but most effective for recent pain.)

4. Lying face down with toes extended, moving from the pelvis, push the leg alternately down (towards the toes) and up (towards the shoulder) a few times and repeat other side. The offending SI joint should "click" signaling that it has freed up.

A combination of 1, 2, and either 3 or 4 seem to give best results.
