I've used my cricut machine to cut vinyl letters and designs depending on the seasons. It's pretty easy to take off. First, heat the vinyl with either a heat gun or a hair dryer. (Personally, I think a heat gun works best, it tends to direct heat more evenly at a specific point.) Continue heating the vinyl as your peeling it off. I've used a putty knife and also an exacto knife to peel off the smaller pieces. Once all of the vinyl is off, there is usually some adhesive left on the wall. A product like Goo Gone works great, as does Crafters Companion Stick Away spray. I have a friend who swears by the 3M adhesive remover available at hardware stores. Either way, make sure you apply it to the adhesive and wait the recommended amount of time before scraping it off - this will protect your paint job!! The most important step is to heat the vinyl. If you don't, you'll have a horrible vinyl, sticky, gooey mess!!
