it's really easy. first, cross the two ends of the tie over as normal, except pulll down on the thin end so it gets longer. then rap the fat end around the thin end. you should see an opening. put the fat end through there. to finish, pull down on the fat end to make it longer. if you have regular stripes on your tie, you are looking at four stripes showing really, maybe a bit more or less, but nything other than that is too long to be cool but too short to look good. the knot at the top will get smaller as you pull on the fat bit, and it is cooler to have a big chunky knot, so beware there. the knot at the top should be about 7 cm across, otherwise it is way to small to be cool, and with the shortness of the tie combined with a small knot you will look ridiculous and worse than wearing your tie up to your belt.
also, to look even cooler, leave our shirt hanging out at the back or untuck it completely and undo your top button - the teachers don't care! you could also, if you are a boy and you wear boxers, pull your trousers down so that they are showing, but lots of people do find this unattractive, including teachers!. travelling to school girls look good with make-up, nice shoes, ear piercings and a handbag, boys look good in Baseball caps, hoodies, and an ear piercing.
oh, and by the way, if your mum or dad or guardian does not like you dressing like this, do everything up smartly and then redo it when you are out the house, and redress before you get in the house, unless you are there first, in which case you can get changed in your room. this is a great tactic.
