The easy way would be to plug the USB drive into the computer and wait for it to mount then simply drag the photo or file (left click and hold) over to the computers desktop. Then put it where you want it to go.

If the CD contains photos or music they will work on a Mac. If the CD contains a Windows program it will not run on any Apple computer.
Use iPhoto, or Aperture. There is an option which would allow you to delete the photos on the camera after import.

Transferring photos from an iPhone to your Mac is really easy. Plug the phone into the computer using the USB cable that came with the phone. Open the program iPhoto on your computer (if it doesn't open automatically. In a few seconds, the iPhone will be listed in the leftmost window of iPhoto. Select the iPhone in iPhoto. Down at the bottom right will be a button to Import All... After the images are imported, you'll be given the choice to Delete all of the new images from your camera roll (which will free up space) or to keep them. You can always transfer photos back to your iPhone by using photo albums in iPhoto.
