How do you treat a guinea pig cold?

If your guinea pig is sneezing or showing any symptoms of sickness, it is best to take to a vet right away b/c it can be sicker than it seems to you. They are considered "prey animals" so they hide sickness until almost too late. Any signs of sickness should be viewed seriously with immediate action.

If you suspect your guinea pig has a cold, it could also be something much worse. A number of guinea pigs suffer from URI, which is a respiratory disease. The symptoms are crusty eyes, clicking sound when breathing, nose going in and out when breathing (dramatically). URI can develop, when the guinea pig has a heart disease, because the heart isn't strong enough, the lungs fill with fluid to reduce the lung capacity, to put less pressure on the heart. URI's symptoms can also be the back end of the guinea pig having 'spazums' when breathing or ill-normal breathing.

If a guinea pig has a cold and is showing symptoms such as blocked nose, sneezing, shivering etc. it could be due to many illnesses. It is most likely the common cold that guinea pigs can pick up just as easily as humans, as they are highly susceptible to sickness. If symptoms persist take your guinea pig to the vet, they will give you medication :)

Bring it in to sleep inside if it's actually cold outside, go to the vet as they can give u medication.

i don't exactly know but you should always keep it by a heater so it doesn't catch a cold but you also don't want it to be too hot

You just have to keep him warm and dont let him outside if there is a frost.

You could also take him to the vet if it looks really bad.
