Christian apologetics is the ministry of defending the faith. For instance, people who believe in different cults have a belief system that is contrary to Christianity and what Jesus taught etc. Apologists study The Bible to correct these errors if people will listen to them. One of the most famious in recent years was Dr. Walter Martin. He wrote a book called, Kingdom of the Cults.

Your theology is what you believe, your belief system. A true Christian has a different belief system than a person who is a Catholic or whatever else you want to name.
