A very long time, in this fact it can go without eating for 5 months. The because is.. ..... They have a very strong ability to do that. As baby painted turtles are you know,babies. Their parents go off to find food in search of it for days!

∙ 11y agoDepends on how much of a baby - a hatchling or a 1,2, or 3 year old? Hatchlings can probably stay under for 10 minutes in cold water, less in warm water because they are cold blooded and warmth speeds up their metabolism.
