As long as there is communication everyday and you won't forget your obligation as a partner I think the relationship still works despite the distance that you had. Communication is essential to every relationship how much more if you are far from each other. Just keep in touch, trust each other and stay loyal. It will last longer depend to both of you and your effort for it.
