Until the day you die.
This is a very good question. There are many different types of cancer and it depends on how early you find it. Not all types of cancer will kill you. Even some of the ones that might normally mean you would not live long can be cured sometimes. The doctors today are doing wonderful things for the treatment of cancer. Just because you are told that you have cancer does not mean that you will die. If you have some cancers for a long time before they find it then your time could be short. Other times they can operate and remove all the cancer. My wife has a very rare cancer called carciniod cancer and it is very slow growing. It may eventually take her but we have faith. She has had several operations and had some different treatments and although she still has it, it is under control. We expect her to live a long time yet. The best thing to treat cancer is prayer. Lots of it.
at least 10 years. Actually, if you are clear of disease after treatment, which most people are, your life expectancy is not impacted. If you are one of the people who have residual disease, like me, it varies widely. Disease that becomes resistant to treatment can be faster or slower, more or less aggressive, and show up in different places, which all affects how many years you might live with it. Also, studies for new treatments for resistant disease are ongoing.
If someone was diagnosed with cancer, it doesn't mean that they WILL die.
I'm 12 years old right now and my grandmother had Cancer for 4 years and she didn't die.
But, I'm not saying that the person will or will not die. Its all due to the cancer the person has. They person might die during the cancer treatment or after. You never know. Its all due to chance.
For me, i had surgery, then radioactibe iodine. I finished that from february to the end of august. Now it is February of the next year, and I am about to get a test dose of I131, so about a year or more.
Provided thyroid cancer is diagnosed early, the prognosis is very good, with 75% or more patients surviving for more than five years after treatment. The treatment involves doses of radiation to 'kill off' the cancerous cells.
Each person that has terminal cancer has a different time frame of how long they will live. Some people will have weeks to live or months to live.
My mom with stage 4 thyroid cancer has lived for 2 years.
It depends on the stage of the cancer and where is started from. Your cancer doctor can tell you more.
Live cancer is an active cancer.
It depends on a lot of factors. You could live for months, days, years with cancer. Your question is a little confusing and I don't know how else to awnser it.
Breast cancer has a very high survival rate nowadays. Only 4 out of 100 do not live for at least 5 years after treatment, if the cancer has not spread beyond the breast when treatment begins.
