It depends. If it was a lab test. AKA your urine gets sent out of a lab to get tested it might take a week or so.
If it was an in-home test(dipping a slip of test paper in the urine) your results should only take 15 minutes.
It also depends on the substance in your body and how that reacts to the test. Some drugs show up on tests quicker than others.
Marijuana shows pretty fast.
A drug test kit from a store takes a few minutes depending on brand. A drug test from a probation facility takes just a few minutes. They may not tell you right away but I have visited with my probation officer after giving a urine sample, and they have had the results before I left her office.
If your drug screen tests positive, the doctor will call you first before notifying your company to see if you are on any prescription medicines or to see what kind of bullcrap excuse you want to try and give him. It usually takes 3-5 business days before they will call you if you've tested positive. If your drug test is negative, you will hear nothing from nobody, thus keeping your job. Good luck!!
Why not try....
NOT GETTING HIGH!!! I find that helps!
1) If you are found in possession of drugs more than that of personal usage its punishable.

Depends on the drug and the type of test.
cigarettes are legal so they are not a drug and wouldn't be shown on a drug test
Well, you should know whether you passed it or not before you take it? So, "You know you've passed beforehand if you haven't taken any illicit drugs beforehand." But places were obliged to tell you if you had failed, although the veracity of this info is now out-of-date.
