A dream could last from one minute to one hour; it depends. Usually a long time, longer than you think it is. I noticed that when you have a dream and your eyes are still closed and you realize that you're awake, and your dream stops. Even if your eyes are closed, you can still see the last part of your dream; frozen in place.
