Honestly, it depends on each person, and how much rest they are getting. If you haven't been doing limited lifting, and you haven't been relaxing and letting it heal, it is going to take a lot longer than it would for someone who has. If you have had it for that long, and have been resting, it is possible you have done more than just strained it, and should see a doctor.. but use a heating pad, and limit your use and such, and if it is merely a strain, you should be better soon..
