As with any perscritpion medication, when taken as directed it will not show up in a drug test. There is not enough opiod in them. Most drugs stay in your system and are detectable for 72 hrs up to 5 days depending on the amount. Pot stays in your system a mininum of 30 days upto 45.
ambien is not detected for in most drug tests including the most common SAMHSA-5 drug tests
Traditional drug tests won't be looking for ambien or any other sleeping pills.

Depends on the drug in question, and what kind of test is being done. Hair tests can detect the use of some drugs for months. Urine tests are more commonly only good for days or weeks.
