This depends on your school and/or districts policies. Many provide
a grace period of 5 days before your over all grade
is lowered by 1 letter. I.e A = B, B = C, C = D, D = F.
After 8 days then you would most likely incur an F-, which is
a Failure due to Attendence
Again check with your School and Board of Education.
Every school is different, but I would say if you missed 2.5 weeks or more for a class, you will have to retake the course. That is how my school works, but I am not certain for your school.

You've had too many absences, now you have to be retained.

Three absences is a verbal coaching. Four absences is a written warning. Five absences is a scheduled D-Day. A D-Day is a day where they pay you to stay at home and write about why they should keep you as an employee. Then you come into work and they decide if you get to keep your job. 6 absences is an automatic firing. This is for a 6 month period. After 6 month absences fall off.
