All Muslims believe that the support and help (Madad in Arabic) are only from Allah (God in English) not from neither any human nor any prophet.
The term Ya Ali Madad means "Oh, Ali, help!" and is supposedly very bad and even dangerous to say if your religion prohibits it and the calling on other Gods.

its right YA ALI MADAD ther are lot of quranic n ahadees ref but let me make u understand u in short generaly Allah can teach human being but he made Messenger right ? now is that possible that a MR. A from USA talkng with MR. B in UAE via MSN messenger and in reply MR.B talks without MSN messenger? no they both need to use same messenger for communication in same way Allah taught us with mesenger so we understand Allah by the guidence of Messenger Allah helps us via Hazrat Ali as he was the helper of Rasool He was the helper of Muslims now question is that can he help us after his death for this u need to understand creation of world and Hazrat Mohmmad, Hazrat Ali, Adam n all Regards Arsalan
near 35% of Muslims of India are Shia Muslims (near 30,000,000 persons) the start of Shiaism in India backs to Caliphet of Imam Ali (sa). Imam Ali (sa) sent Harith ibn Marveh Abdi to Gheyghan (in Send). at that time some of people of Gheyghan were followers of Ali (sa) deeply loving Ali (sa) but some of them said Ali is God. so Ali sent Harith ibn Marveh Abdi to them to prevent them from such belief. then many of India people and rulers knew about Ali and traveled to Kufa to visit Ali (sa). there is much more about history of shia in India.
