Usually a pool table weighs around 500-1000 pounds, depending on the length, type of wood and slate used.
1" Slate for an 8' table weighs about 420 pounds (3 X 140 lb). Add anywhere from 200-300 pounds for the table frame and rails and the ballpark weight is 600-700 pounds.
This can be from about 360 to 500 pounds. The 7 foot table may be 3/4 inch slate or 1 inch slate, and table construction will affect the weight of the table.

The playing surface of a slate pool table will give the best and truest playing surface and will not deteriorate over time, whereas an MDF base may warp slightly. Slate pool tables can be sourced at many sports shops or from specialist stores such as Home Leisure Direct.
It was not a pool table if it only had 4 pockets if it was made since about 1800. A 4 pocket table is most likely a bumper pool table.

A hockey table is my opinion.I'd have to say a pool table. Unlike hockey or football, you don't need 2 people to play pool.
The newer homes can support a pool table without any special considerations. For an 8 or 9 foot table, the per square foot weight distribution is less than having people occupying the same space.
The Cue Ball is less weight than the Colored Balls.
