How much does a army recruit make?

The same as ever other soldier in the Military, it is based on their rank and time in service. Recruiters do not receive a bonus or additional money for a contract, being that Military Recruiters do not write contracts (MEPS does) they do not get anything extra.

Army Recruiters DO NOT receive bonuses. You can go to http://www.usarec.army.mil/support/bonus_program.htm and see how army recruiters DON'T receive $2,000 for each recruit. Recruiters are INELIGIBLE for the program because they are recruiters. Contrary to popular belief, military recruiters do NOT get bonuses for the people they enlist. There is no such thing as a commission for these recruiters. To find out what they earn per month all you need to find out is a few simple details. 1. What is their rank. E-5, or E-7 for example. 2. How long is their time in service. For example, over 8 or over 10 years. 3. Where do they live; meaning what city and state and do they have dependants? You can take all these pieces of information and go straight to Military.com and look at the enlisted pay charts. Cross reference rank and time in service to see their "base pay" per month. Then look up the BAH and BAQ allowances based on their rank, location, years, and whether or not they have dependants. These are the allowances for food and housing. These two allowances are not taxable but their pay is. As a recruiter they also get what's called Special duty pay or "pro-pay" of an additional $450 per month that is taxable. This pay is for the large amount of responsibility for their career field.

A person who enlists with a High School Diploma and no College Credits will enlist as an E-1.

A person who enlists with a High School Diploma and 24 - 47 College Credits will enlist as an E-2.

A person who enlists with a High School Diploma and 48 - 119 College Credits will enlist as an E-3.
