If you are an inexperienced drinker and drinking fast you should be feeling the buzz after a couple ounces (in 1/2 hour) slurrey and staggering after 4 - 6 ounces (an hour) and lying unconcious in a puddle of your own urine and puke after 8 or 10 ounces (1 1/2 hours). If you're experienced or drinking slower it'll take longer.
If you're going to do this from experience I would advise you to drink mixed drinks (way more mix than drink) punctuated by glasses of water (vodka looks like water) have food and drink slowly. By the end of the night you'll be the cool guy who can still talk and dance with the cute girls. Unless of course you want to be unconscious in a puddle of your own urine and puke at the end of the night (not cool, and chicks won't be impressed)
