If you wanted to pay me to clean your saddle, I would require $20, since it would take me about an hour to clean the saddle, and you would want me to do a thorough job. I would scrub with a toothbrush on hard dirt, and oil the saddle when it dried. You would need to provide me with the required equipment. I would need:
Saddle soap bar or liquid, sponge, bucket, neatsfoot oil, and 1" paint brush, wiping cloth.
If you do not plan to supply me with the equipment that I will need, I will charge you $30 since the supplies are expensive.
Be sure that I am experienced at cleaning a saddle, so that I do not damage it.
It honestly depends on what type you are looking for in a saddle cleaner.
My leather saddle soap cost me $16.00 and my leather saddle conditioner cost me $18.00.
I also have a synthetic saddle cleaner, which is a spray, and that cost me $14
It also depends on who you are buying it from, different shops have different prices, if you are looking for the cheapest, go to a more quite horse supplies shop like I did, it's the same stuff, but with a better price tag ;)
Good luck!
It means that the horse has gotten it's saddle cleaned and the horses is saddled. :D
saddle/leather soap
this could be worth some money
good ones are around two hundred bucks
Black Saddle - 1959 Blood Money 2-12 was released on: USA: 1 December 1959
That would depend on the saddle, it can range from hundreds to thousands!
Does northern mean Western or English?? Western saddles can be as low as 150 but if you want a show saddle its up to $5000 is the price, my show saddle is 1000 dollars and is really nice. ENglish saddles cost more, but mine was free so i dont know how much they can be- someone told me my saddle is worth 1000 dollors! woohoo
saddle bridle grooming kit rugs/blankets Stall (make sure it is cleaned every day)
Not much. Pretty much the highest level is college. Granted, you do win a very nice saddle, buckle, and a large scholarship, there really isn't any big money in goat tying
Your question was a little confusing, haha. But, in my opinion, it is safest to ride in a saddle, because you have the stirrups and you don't slide as much as you would bareback, and plus with a saddle it's much more comfortable.
You can jump in a saddle seat saddle the same way that you could jump in a western saddle or bareback. However, it will be difficult because the balance in a saddle seat saddle is different from that in a hunt seat saddle. With a saddle seat saddle, your weight is further back, and the stirrups are much longer. Also, saddle seat saddles lack knee rolls. If you are going over high jumps, it will be very hard to keep your balance in a saddle seat saddle.
Depending on how used the saddle is, prices can vary. You shouldn't pay more than $500 for an old saddle, even if its not too worn down. after all, you could get a new one for that price hope this helps
