you have to put half a saucepan full
It doesn't work well that way. Get a large pot, half fill with hot water, then let it come to a boil . Now put your pasta in, cook for required time, then drain water off the pasta.
You can put a smaller pan inside of a bigger pan put the pasta in the small pan and water in the big one the n put it on the stove, turn it on, and it will heat it!
I always put double amount of water to pasta. e.g. 1 cup of pasta = 2 cups water. never boil pasta in a pan with the lid on. The pan has to be uncovered.
Here is a list of carbohydrates: Bread( heat up in toaster if you want or put a Jam on top) Rice ( boil water put rice in and wait p.s. the rice will absorbe the water) Pasta( boil water put in pasta wait til pasta is all the way cooked then starin the leftover water in a strainer) Oatmeal ( put water on wait for oatmeal to cook) Happy coooking !!!
At my family we love pasta normally the sauce takes longer to cook it all depends on what temperature you cook it at, how big your stove is and how much water you put in to boil the pasta.
if your cooking it in the microwave boil the kettle and fill the bowl until the water is above the pasta and put it in the microwave for 10 minutes. Do the same if you are cooking it in a pan, but instead of putting it in the microwave put it on the stove.
first, you boil a big pot of water on your stove. as soon as the water boils, you put the pasta in the pot. sometimes it helps to check to see if the pasta is tender by taking a fork and poke the pasta(you may also taste the pasta). when the pasta is the texture and chewiness that you want it to be at, you drain all of the water from the pot. when you let the pasta sit, you put some marina sauce in a bowl and heat it in the microwave for as long as it takes for it to get the right temperature. times may vary. when the sauce is heated, you put some pasta and sauce in a bowl for your kids. waala!
you fill half a pot with water, let it boil, trow as much pasta as needed, trow salt along with the pasta, (taste to check if ready) then drain the water.
So the noodles don't stick together!
maybe half a pot
The yellow pasta is made of durum wheat flour and water, sometimes it is made by flour, eggs and a little salt (aka Fresh egg Pasta) The red pasta is made in the same way as other pasta but it is flavoured with tomatoes. The green pasta is made in the same way as other pasta but it is flavoured with spinach.
Because it should cook in lots of water.
